Leesburg police have arrested a local man in connection with the rape of a juvenile earlier this year, a case that has shaken the community.
According to police, the assault happened in February 2025 but wasn’t reported until May. Investigators say the incident occurred inside a home on Heritage Way NE, located right here in Leesburg.
On June 27, officers arrested 45-year-old Alex Omar Lozano Martinez, a Leesburg resident. He’s facing serious charges: rape, forcible sodomy, abduction with intent to defile, and solicitation of a minor. He’s currently being held without bond at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center.
The Leesburg Police are urging anyone with more information to come forward. Their detectives are continuing the investigation, and additional charges could be added.
