Man Arrested After Allegedly Waving Gun Outside Leesburg Bar

LEESBURG, VA – November 17, 2025 – A Florida man is facing multiple charges after a late-night confrontation on East Market Street led to a gun being brandished and a DWI arrest, according to Leesburg Police.

Just before 1 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 15, officers responded to a disturbance in the 500 block of E. Market Street. Witnesses said a man who had been kicked out of a local bar returned with a handgun and waved it in front of the building.

According to police, the man—identified as Jon E. Holland, 42, of Orlando—retrieved the firearm from a vehicle after being removed from the establishment. He reportedly held the gun in plain view before driving off.

Officers quickly located Holland still in the parking lot and pulled him over. During the stop, they say they found a loaded, unsecured handgun in his vehicle. Holland was arrested and charged with:

  • Brandishing a firearm

  • Carrying a handgun while intoxicated

  • Driving while intoxicated (DWI)

Holland is currently being held at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center with no bond.
