Tree Lighting Returns to Downtown Leesburg December 6 — Music, Mayor, and Holiday Cheer Planned

The Town of Leesburg is getting ready to flip the switch on the holiday season with its annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony set for Saturday, December 6 at 6 p.m., right in the heart of town on the Town Green (25 W. Market Street).

This year’s celebration features a live performance by local favorites the Jingle Jam Band — with Todd Wright, Cal Everett, and Gary Smallwood bringing their signature sound to festive classics. Kids (and adults too) can enjoy holiday characters, a photo booth, and of course, a special holiday message from Mayor Kelly Burk.

The whole event is free and open to the public — no tickets needed. And if you can’t make it in person, you can still catch the holiday spirit: the event will be streamed live on the Town’s Facebook page.

Heads-up on road closures: W. Market Street will be closed between Wirt and King Streets during the event. If you’re parked in the Town Hall garage, you’ll still be able to exit via W. Market heading east or onto Loudoun Street.

This annual gathering has become a staple for many Loudoun families — a chance to slow down, reconnect with neighbors, and take in the small-town charm that makes downtown Leesburg so special this time of year.
