It’s parade season again in Leesburg, and that means King Street will soon be filled with lights, music, and holiday cheer.
The Town of Leesburg’s Annual Christmas and Holiday Parade kicks off on Saturday, December 13 at 6 p.m., bringing Santa and a full lineup of festive floats straight through the historic downtown.
But if you’re planning to drive anywhere near the parade route, take note: King Street will close to traffic starting at 5:15 p.m. between Battlefield Parkway and Catoctin Circle. The parade begins at Ida Lee Drive and ends just before Fairfax Street. Town crews will reopen the road once the parade wraps and cleanup is complete.
Expect the usual favorites—marching bands, dancers, scout troops, and those brightly decorated fire trucks. And yes, Santa Claus will close out the night, waving from his sleigh as he makes his way down King Street.
