The Leesburg Police Department is asking for the public’s help after a group of burglars broke into a local shop early Sunday morning.
Around 3:45 a.m. on December 14, four suspects smashed their way into Leesburg Tobacco & Vape, located at 707 E. Market Street. Police say the group forced open the front door and took off with an unknown amount of merchandise.
Surveillance footage reportedly shows all four suspects dressed in black clothing, but police have not yet released images to the public.
The shop sits along one of the busiest corridors in Leesburg. While the early hour means most people were likely asleep, police believe someone might have seen or heard something—especially with the noise that comes from breaking into a storefront.
This is just the latest in a string of overnight thefts hitting small businesses in town, raising concerns about safety and security among owners who are already juggling rising costs and holiday season traffic.
If you were near E. Market Street early Sunday morning—or have a home or business security camera that might’ve caught something—police want to hear from you.
