LEESBURG, Va. — Two adults and a juvenile are facing charges after what police described as a robbery and unlawful entry at an apartment complex off Clubhouse Drive SW early Sunday morning.
According to the Leesburg Police Department, officers were called to the 100 block of Clubhouse Drive SW around 7:15 a.m. on May 17 for reports of a possible break-in in progress.
Investigators say three individuals entered an apartment, confronted the people inside, and during the encounter one of the suspects implied he had a weapon. Police said one of the suspects also took property belonging to one of the occupants before the group fled on foot.
Officers responding to the scene quickly tracked down and detained all three suspects a short distance away. Police also recovered the stolen property.
Authorities identified the suspects as:
- Christian Marquez Aguilar, 26, of Fairfax, charged with robbery and unlawful entry.
- Josue Zelaya Alvarenga, 20, of Herndon, charged with possession of stolen property and unlawful entry.
- A juvenile suspect whose charges are still pending.
Both Marquez Aguilar and Zelaya Alvarenga were taken to the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center, where they are being held without bond. The juvenile was referred to the Department of Youth Services.
Police said the suspects and victim knew each other, indicating this was not believed to be a random incident.
The case remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Leesburg Police Department at 703-771-4500.
