The Leesburg Police Department has arrested a Leesburg man following an investigation into allegations involving the sexual assault of a child under the age of 13.
According to police, the department received a report on June 8, 2026, regarding the alleged sexual assault of a minor. Detectives immediately began investigating the claims.
As a result of the investigation, authorities arrested Jose Edwin Ruano Navas, 32, of Leesburg, on June 10, 2026.
Navas has been charged with aggravated sexual battery of a minor under the age of 13. Following his arrest, he was transported to the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center, where he is being held without bond.
Police emphasized that the investigation remains ongoing. No additional details are being released at this time in order to protect the identity and privacy of the alleged victim.
