The Leesburg Police Department is investigating a residential burglary reported in the 1600 block of Chickasaw Place NE. It happened sometime between 3:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 2—a wide window that suggests the home may have been unoccupied for several hours.
Police say one or more unknown suspects entered the home and took an undisclosed number of items. Right now, they haven’t released details about what was stolen or how entry was gained.
What stands out here is timing. Mid-afternoon to late evening is when many people are out running errands, at youth sports, or commuting back from work—something we see more and more as Loudoun continues to grow and daily routines stretch across longer distances.
Police are asking anyone who may have seen something unusual in the area during that timeframe to speak up. Just as important, they’re urging residents to check their doorbell and home security cameras. Even a small detail—a passing car, someone walking by—can help piece together what happened.

For neighbors in and around Chickasaw Place, this is a good reminder: lock doors, keep an eye on package deliveries, and stay connected with those living nearby. In a fast-growing county like ours, that sense of community awareness still matters.
