The Leesburg Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that occurred at the Bank of America ATM located at 505 E. Market Street after the victim reported the incident on June 25.
According to police, the robbery took place on Wednesday, June 17, between 10:30 and 11:00 p.m. The victim told investigators he was using the ATM when two unknown suspects approached and demanded money. During the confrontation, one of the suspects displayed a firearm.
The victim complied with the suspects’ demands, and the two men fled the area with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Police said no injuries were reported during the incident.
The suspects are described as two Hispanic males who were wearing face coverings. Detectives continue working to identify those responsible, and the investigation remains active.
