Leesburg, VA – This October, the Thomas Balch Library is hosting a new exhibit titled “Faces of Ball’s Bluff,” put together by the Friends of Ball’s Bluff to mark the 163rd anniversary of the Battle of Ball’s Bluff. On display in the Mercer Room, the exhibit brings to life the human stories behind the battle just outside Leesburg.
Through battlefield relics, personal artifacts, and photographs left behind by the soldiers, the exhibit provides a personal glimpse into the lives of those who fought and died at Ball’s Bluff. It’s an effort to not only remember the battle but to connect visitors with the individuals who made the ultimate sacrifice.
The exhibit is open during the library’s regular hours:
Monday and Friday: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Tuesday: 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.
