Gvino Enoteca, a familiar favorite among Leesburg wine lovers, just made a big move—but not far. On Friday, March 24, owner Giacomo Galimberti cut the ribbon on Gvino’s new space just across the street from its original Market Station location, now rebranded as Gvino Wine Bar.
What started as a boutique wine shop is now a full-fledged wine bar and restaurant. The new space at 108 South Street SE still has the 700+ curated wines Gvino built its name on, but now also offers a full menu, a cozy indoor bar, and a spacious outdoor patio.
The expanded menu goes well beyond the usual nibbles. Yes, you’ll still find bruschetta, salads, and charcuterie boards, but also heartier dishes like braised short ribs and slow-cooked beef cheeks—plus desserts.
“We had a great three years at the other location,” said Galimberti. “It’s a great community and we’ve always felt we were in the right place. That made the decision very clear when my wife and I were talking about expanding the business.”
Gvino has always been more than a retail space—it’s been a neighborhood gathering spot, with tastings and wine events that make wine feel less intimidating and more like a shared experience.
“Now you can come, sit down, have a nice glass, and have a good time,” Galimberti said.
And that’s exactly what the new Gvino is all about—slowing down, sharing a bottle, and spending time with friends.
