Hangar Catches Fire at Leesburg Executive Airport

A structure fire occurred at the Leesburg Executive Airport at approximately 2 a.m. Sunday morning. About nine planes were damaged in the fire, which occurred in the B T-hangar located on the north end of the airfield.

Loudoun County Fire and Rescue responded and extinguished the fire shortly after it was reported by a Leesburg Police officer who was on patrol. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. The airport is open for business.
