High-Speed Chase Leads to Arrest of Baltimore Teens in Leesburg Burglary

Leesburg, VA – In a dramatic overnight incident, the Leesburg Police Department has apprehended two juvenile suspects from Baltimore, Maryland, following a burglary at Tobacco King and Vape shop on Fieldstone Drive NE. The arrest unfolded after a high-speed pursuit involving the Virginia State Police (VSP).

The Leesburg Police were alerted to the burglary around 3:00 AM. Upon arriving at the scene, they discovered the front door of the shop smashed and various items, including the cash register tray, missing. The suspects had fled in a red Kia sedan.

A Virginia State Trooper later spotted a vehicle matching this description on Route 7 in Ashburn, speeding excessively. When the trooper attempted a stop, the vehicle accelerated, leading to a chase that concluded near I-495. The suspects, the driver and a passenger, were apprehended without any injuries reported.

Further investigation by LPD and VSP linked the detained juveniles to the Leesburg burglary. Both are now held at the Loudoun County Juvenile Detention Center, facing charges from the Leesburg Police Department and Virginia State Police.
