A once-quiet stretch of South King Street is now home to one of Leesburg’s most high-end—and talked-about—new developments.
Hotel Burg officially opened its doors on Tuesday with a ribbon cutting at 208 S King Street. Built into and around a preserved 1885 historic house, the 39-room boutique hotel blends old and new with architectural nods to Federal, Colonial, and Italianate styles. The team behind the design includes Michael Graves Architecture & Design and Madison Dale, who worked to ensure the building fits into the Old & Historic District’s existing charm.
Owner Kevin Ash called the opening “a long journey,” adding, “I hope everybody can appreciate the detail and all the time and effort that everybody has put into this.”
Leesburg Mayor Kelly Burk praised the project, saying, “Kevin and his team have done a phenomenal job. They have taken a dream and made it a reality, and we are very lucky that it’s here in Leesburg.”
The hotel includes three separate buildings, each with its own design influence—think Ralph Lauren-inspired, polished but rustic. Of the 39 rooms, eight are suites.
But it’s not just a place to sleep. Hotel Burg brings several new social and dining spots to the neighborhood:
-
The Hunton, a farm-to-table restaurant led by Virginia native Chef Vincent Badiee.
-
The Diana Lounge, a speakeasy-style cocktail bar open to hotel guests and locals.
-
The Chase, a members-only club with private workspaces, a fitness center, cigar humidors, and wine lockers.
-
A rooftop bar with fire pits and wide views of town and countryside.
Guests also have access to The Manor 1858, a 22-acre property nearby featuring a restored stone barn for weddings and private events.
Reservations are now open, and the first guests arrive August 1.
