KidsUnited Brings Youth Soccer Training to Leesburg

LEESBURG, VA — A group of kids zipped across the turf, chasing a soccer ball with wild energy while parents looked on, some snapping photos, others chatting with the new academy’s founders. It was a lively kickoff—literally—for KidsUnited Leesburg, which officially opened its doors with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday, January 23.

The new indoor youth soccer academy is located at 663 Potomac Station Drive NE, in a commercial plaza just east of the historic district. But this isn’t just another youth sports business. For co-owner Saujan Aryal and his two longtime friends, opening a KidsUnited franchise in Leesburg is personal.

“Opening the KidsUnited location in Leesburg is an incredibly exciting moment for us,” Aryal said. “Soccer has been a part of our lives since childhood and becoming franchise owners allows us to turn that passion into something meaningful for our community.”

Aryal and his co-owners grew up playing soccer but didn’t always have access to the kind of structured training or leadership support they hope to provide here. KidsUnited, which serves children from toddler age through early elementary, focuses on early skill-building while also teaching confidence, teamwork, and communication.

“Our goal is to introduce kids to the game at an early age while helping them build confidence, teamwork, and leadership skills both on and off the field,” Aryal said.

While Loudoun County is known for its youth sports scene, much of it is built around competition, travel teams, and a more serious tone. KidsUnited is aiming to carve out a niche focused on development, fun, and accessible learning—something especially appealing to families with younger children who may not yet be ready for full league play.

The opening reflects Loudoun’s continued growth, especially in the Leesburg area where families are constantly looking for indoor activities that balance learning and fun. The facility adds another recreational option for local parents seeking something engaging but grounded in values like teamwork and community.
