Leesburg, VA (May 23, 2024) – Leesburg welcomed Village Pickle to its business community with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday, May 23. The event celebrated the official grand opening of the first dedicated indoor pickleball facility in Loudoun County.
Village Pickle, owned and operated by the USTA Mid-Atlantic Foundation, features eight indoor courts, catering to the growing popularity of pickleball. Tara Fitzpatrick-Navarro, the foundation’s chief executive officer, addressed the crowd during the ceremony, highlighting the foundation’s extensive experience in managing tennis programs and their commitment to supporting the rising demand for pickleball.
“I get asked a lot why a tennis foundation is building a pickleball club,” Fitzpatrick-Navarro said. “We have over 100 years of experience managing tennis programs and we know that tennis and pickleball have a symbiotic relationship and that we can help meet the demand for pickleball in addition to what we already do for tennis. We also knew there was no better place for us to try this than in Loudoun County.”
Village Pickle is conveniently located at 1606 Village Market Boulevard SE, Suite C-115, in Leesburg. For more information about the facility and its programs, visit villagepickle.org.
