Spring cleaning isn’t just for your home—Leesburg is asking residents to help clean up the town! The annual “Keep Leesburg Beautiful” campaign runs from April 1 to April 30, with a special kickoff cleanup event happening on Saturday, April 5, at Raflo Park (345 Harrison Street SE) at 11 a.m.
This community-wide effort encourages residents, businesses, and local groups to team up and collect litter from roadsides, stream beds, and other public spaces. And it’s not just about cleaning up—there are prizes at stake! Mayor Kelly Burk will award the coveted “Golden (Trash) Grabber” to the group that gathers the most trash.
To sweeten the deal, several Leesburg businesses are offering special gifts and discounts to volunteers, including Catty Corner Cafe, The Global Local, Move, Shake and Bop, Birch Tree Books and Plants, and Puccio’s. Volunteers will receive a special card to redeem their perks.
