Leesburg Police Arrest Third Individual in June McDonald’s Robbery

Leesburg, VA (August 9, 2024) – Leesburg Police have made a third arrest in connection with the June 21 robbery and assault at the McDonald’s on Edwards Ferry Road NE. Christian Mincey, 20, who has no fixed address, was arrested on August 1 and charged with robbery and assault by mob, both of which are felony charges. Mincey is currently being held without bond at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center.

This follows the earlier arrests of D’Angelo Bland and Scotty Thomas Jr., who were also charged with robbery and assault by mob for their alleged involvement in the incident. Bland was released on a $5,000 bond on August 7, while Thomas Jr. was released on a $10,000 bond on July 3.

The arrests stem from an early morning incident at the McDonald’s, located at 965 Edwards Ferry Road NE, where the suspects allegedly assaulted and robbed a victim. The investigation by Leesburg Police is ongoing.
