Leesburg Police Arrest Two Suspects in Plaza Street Robbery

Leesburg, VA (May 20, 2024) – The Leesburg Police Department is investigating a robbery and assault that occurred on Friday evening, leading to the arrest of two individuals.

At approximately 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 18, 2024, a victim reported being assaulted and robbed while walking in the unit block of Plaza Street NE. The victim sustained minor injuries during the incident.

Gerardo Lovo, 21, of Leesburg, was apprehended at a nearby residence and charged with robbery, assault by mob, and grand larceny. He is currently being held at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center without bond. Additionally, a juvenile suspect was arrested and charged with the same offenses. The juvenile is being held at the Loudoun County Juvenile Detention Center.
