The Leesburg Police Department is currently investigating the incident at the Leesburg Tobacco and Vape store, located on the familiar stretch of E. Market Street, is a reminder that even in our growing community, such incidents can strike close to home.
The break-in occurred around 3:00 a.m. today, a time when the streets of our town were typically silent and deserted. Responding to the triggered burglar alarm, police officers arrived at 707 E. Market Street to find a scene of forced entry. The perpetrators had already fled, leaving behind a store stripped of various items.
This incident raises concerns about the safety of our local businesses, especially those in quieter areas of town, and highlights the need for increased vigilance.
