Leesburg Warrant Leads to Major Drug Bust in Manassas Park

A routine tip about a possible drug transaction turned into a significant drug arrest in Manassas Park last week.

On February 18, around 2 p.m., the Manassas Park Police Department received information about suspected drug activity within city limits. Officers, including K-9 units, responded to the area and quickly located the vehicle described in the tip.

Police conducted a traffic stop. The driver was immediately detained after officers discovered he had an outstanding warrant out of the Town of Leesburg.

A narcotics detection dog was deployed around the outside of the vehicle and alerted to the presence of drugs. That alert gave officers probable cause to search the car.

Inside, police say they found approximately 200 fentanyl pills, multiple THC vape cartridges, marijuana, a digital scale and $46 in cash. Officers also searched the driver and located approximately $1,070 in U.S. currency on his person.

The vehicle, a 2011 Dodge Charger, was seized as part of the investigation.

The driver, identified as Ribwar Ismaail Ibrahim Ibrahim of Prince William County, was arrested and charged with:

  • Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule I/II Controlled Substance

  • Possession with Intent to Distribute a Weapon of Terrorism (Fentanyl)

  • Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana

  • Underage Possession of Marijuana

Fentanyl continues to be a growing concern for law enforcement agencies across Northern Virginia. Even small quantities can be lethal, and officers have repeatedly warned about the dangers these pills pose in local communities.

The investigation remains ongoing.
