Residents of Leesburg, Virginia are gearing up for a festive evening as the town prepares to light up its holiday tree. The much-anticipated event is scheduled to take place on the Town Green at 25 W Market Street this Saturday, December 2, starting at 6 p.m.
This year’s ceremony promises an evening filled with holiday cheer, featuring performances by local musicians Todd Wright, Cal Everett, and Gary Smallwood. In addition to the musical entertainment, the event will offer a chance for memorable photos with holiday characters and a special address by Mayor Kelly Burk.
Attendees should note that W. Market Street will be closed between Wirt and King streets for the duration of the event. However, those using the Town Hall parking garage will still have access to eastbound W. Market Street or can exit via Loudoun Street.
The tree lighting is a free event, open to all community members, and offers a perfect opportunity to celebrate the season. For those unable to attend in person, the ceremony will be broadcast live on the Town’s Facebook page. Further details and updates about the event are available on the town’s website at www.leesburgva.gov/holidaysinleesburg.
