Leesburg, VA (November 30, 2023) – As a local reporter, I’m thrilled to share that the Town of Leesburg is set to brighten the holiday season with its enchanting annual holiday light show. This dazzling display is nestled in the serene rose garden behind the historic Donaldson Log Cabin at 14 Loudoun Street, SW. The festivities kick off on Saturday, December 2.
This year’s spectacle features a stunning arrangement of approximately 2,500 lights. These aren’t just any lights; they’re meticulously synchronized to three festive holiday-themed songs, creating a captivating audio-visual experience.
The town invites both residents and visitors to immerse themselves in this festive environment. It’s a perfect opportunity to explore the charm of historic downtown Leesburg while celebrating the holiday spirit. The light show promises to be a visual treat, running every evening from 4:30 to 9:45 p.m., up until the evening of Monday, January 1, 2024.

Holiday Tree Lighting

The Town of Leesburg will hold this year’s holiday tree lighting ceremony on Town Green beginning at 6:00pm. Join us for lights, live music, holiday characters and community cheer!
Holiday Fine Arts and Crafts Show
Saturday, December 2, 2023, 9:00 am – 4:00 pm
Sunday, December 3, 2023, 10:00 am – 4:00 pm
No big-box shopping here! This show features local and regional artisans selling hand-made items including candles, stained glass, carved wood, jewelry, table linens, and more. Find something for everyone on your shopping list and a little something to brighten your home this season. Admission and parking for this show are free. Please remember that all items at the show must be handcrafted by the artist selling at the show. No wholesale or resale products will be allowed. All applicants will be juried by a team of qualified professionals. Please review all of the terms and conditions carefully. Christmas and Holiday Parade

On the second Saturday of December, the holiday spirit will be in full swing as Leesburg Glitters & Glows with the Annual Christmas and Holiday Parade. The parade will usher Santa and his friends down King Street, through Historic Downtown Leesburg. The parade is FREE for participation and will begin at Ida Lee Park and end at Fairfax Street. Parade participation is open to the public.
