Local Arrest Yields Narcotics and Firearms in Leesburg

Leesburg, VA (June 10, 2024) – The Leesburg Police Department has arrested and charged a Leesburg man with multiple felony offenses following a search warrant execution on June 8, 2024.

On Saturday, June 8, around 12:30 p.m., officers were patrolling the area of 75 Plaza Street NE when they encountered Nicholas T. Roach, 28, who appeared to be under the influence. Roach was initially arrested for public intoxication. During a subsequent search, officers discovered a significant amount of cash and narcotics in his possession.

Following this discovery, officers obtained a search warrant for a residence at 75 Plaza Street NE. The search led to the seizure of additional illegal narcotics, suspected cocaine, scales, cell phones, two firearms with removed serial numbers, and a substantial amount of cash. One of the firearms was identified as stolen from Florida.

Nicholas Roach faces several charges, including:

  • Distribution of controlled substances
  • Possession of a firearm while in possession of a Schedule 1 or 2 controlled substance
  • Two counts of removal of serial number on a firearm
  • Receipt of a stolen firearm

Roach is currently held at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center without bond.
