Local Teen Charged with Robbery After Leesburg Assault

Leesburg, VA (May 20, 2024) – The Leesburg Police Department is currently investigating a robbery and assault that occurred on Friday evening, leading to the arrest of a local man.

On Friday, May 17, at approximately 5:22 p.m., Leesburg Police Officers were dispatched to the Sheetz gas station located at 915 Edwards Ferry Road NE, following a report of a robbery and assault. The victim informed the officers that a male acquaintance had assaulted him, stolen his cell phone, and fled on foot.

Officers conducted a search of the surrounding area and found the suspect in the unit block of Plaza Street NE. Upon noticing the officers, the suspect attempted to escape but was apprehended after a brief foot chase.

Fidel Ordonez Molina, 18, of Leesburg, was arrested and charged with robbery, assault, and resisting arrest. He is currently being held at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center without bond. The victim received treatment for his injuries at the scene.
