Loudoun Firefighters Launch Winter Coat Drive to Help Neighbors in Need

The cold weather’s coming, and once again, Loudoun’s firefighters are stepping up.

From October 18 through December 7, fire and rescue stations across Loudoun County will be collecting gently used and new winter coats, jackets, hats, scarves, gloves, and mittens for local folks who need them.

This effort is a joint push from the Loudoun County Combined Fire and Rescue System, Local 3756 of the Loudoun Career Firefighters Association, and Mobile Hope Loudoun, in partnership with One Warm Coat, a national nonprofit that helps connect coats with people who need them.

Last year, they gathered more than 1,000 coats and over 800 cold-weather items—and they’re hoping to top that this year.

Where to donate?
Just stop by any Loudoun County fire and rescue station, the Fire and Rescue Training Academy, or their Leesburg headquarters at 801 Sycolin Road and drop off clean, warm winter gear.

If you’d rather give a few dollars to help, Mobile Hope’s website has a donation page where your money will go directly to helping neighbors right here in Loudoun.

This is more than just a coat—it’s a little bit of warmth and dignity for someone facing a cold winter in our community.
