The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) is investigating a tragic crash in Leesburg that claimed the life of a Sterling man this afternoon.
The collision occurred around 1:00 p.m. at the intersection of Fort Evans Road NE and Forest Spring Drive, involving a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle. The motorcyclist, identified as 52-year-old Ijaumaa Malik McCutcheon, was taken to a nearby hospital but succumbed to his injuries.
The driver of the other vehicle suffered non-life-threatening injuries, was treated at a hospital, and has since been released.
