New Leesburg LEGO Store Lets Customers Buy, Sell and Trade Bricks and Sets

LEESBURG, VA — LEGO fans in Loudoun County have a new place to hunt for hard-to-find sets, trade old collections and find the missing pieces for their next project.

Bricks and Minifigs, a locally owned store specializing in new and used LEGO products, has opened at 210-B Fort Evans Road in Leesburg. The business celebrated its opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday, October 2, followed by an official grand opening scheduled for October 10.

Unlike traditional toy stores, Bricks and Minifigs allows customers to buy, sell and trade LEGO sets, individual figures and loose bricks. Families with collections gathering dust at home can bring them in for cash or store credit, while collectors can search for retired sets and pieces that are no longer widely available.

Store owner Kirsten Zaremba hopes the business will become more than a place to shop. She sees it as an opportunity for families and LEGO enthusiasts to spend time together doing something creative.

“We all spend plenty of time looking at screens,” said Store Owner Kirsten Zaremba. “Building with LEGO offers a chance to unplug, unwind, and give your mind something creative to work on. Whether you’re building on your own or around a table with friends and family, we want to make room for that.”

The store carries a changing selection of LEGO products, including collectible minifigures from popular movies, television shows and other themes. Customers can also design their own characters at a Build-A-Minifig station or sort through bins of loose bricks to find specific pieces.

Because much of the inventory comes from customers selling or trading their collections, shoppers may find something different each time they visit.

“Because we buy and trade with customers, our selection keeps changing. There’s always a reason to stop back in and see what’s new,” Zaremba said.

The business also has a dedicated event room for birthday parties, homeschool groups, game nights and team-building activities. Plans include LEGO building camps, workshops and other events designed to bring people together.

Some of the planned workshops will use the LEGO SERIOUS PLAY method, which encourages participants to use hands-on building to communicate ideas and work through problems as a group.

For Leesburg families, the new store offers another option for indoor activities, particularly for children and adults who enjoy building, collecting and creating with LEGO.

Zaremba said the response from local residents has been encouraging, and she hopes the store develops a regular community of customers who share their interests and projects.

“What we’re looking forward to most is getting to know our regulars: the kids eager to show us their latest builds, the families who make us part of their weekend, and the collectors who teach us something new,” Zaremba said.
