LEESBURG, VA — Leesburg residents have a new option for relaxation and recovery with the opening of SweatHouz, a wellness studio offering private infrared saunas, cold plunges and other amenities.
The business, located at 625 Potomac Station Drive, celebrated its grand opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday, October 16.
Owned by Ricky Siewers and his wife, Natalie, SweatHouz focuses on contrast therapy, a wellness practice that involves alternating between heat and cold. The studio offers private suites where customers can move through the experience at their own pace rather than participating in a group session.
“Contrast therapy is simply moving between heat and cold: an infrared sauna, a cold plunge, and a vitamin C shower to finish,” explained Owner Ricky Siewers. “What makes SweatHouz different is that it all happens in your own private suite. For one hour the phone goes down and the noise goes away. There’s no class to keep up with and no crowd to navigate, so first-timers feel comfortable right away and regulars get a real reset. We handle the setup and the cleanup, so all you do is show up.”
The Siewers chose Leesburg because they saw an opportunity to serve a growing community of families, working professionals and athletes looking for ways to unwind or recover from physical activity.
The studio’s approach is designed to appeal to both people who regularly use wellness facilities and those who have never tried a sauna or cold plunge.
“Leesburg felt like the right home for it,” Siewers said. “SweatHouz is for everyone: people who have never set foot in a gym and people training for their next race. We’re proud to be the official recovery partner of Loudoun United FC and Virginia Revolution SC, and now that our doors are open, we’re looking forward to becoming part of the neighborhood, working with local businesses, and being a place where friends, couples, and neighbors come to unplug together.”
The partnerships with Loudoun United FC and Virginia Revolution SC also connect the new business with the area’s sports community.
The opening adds another wellness-focused business to Leesburg’s commercial landscape, where fitness, recovery and personal care services are among the options available to residents.
While saunas and cold plunges have become popular wellness practices, research into their health benefits is still developing, and the effects can vary depending on the individual.
SweatHouz is now open at 625 Potomac Station Drive in Leesburg.
