Old Glory DC has announced Simon Cross as its new Head Coach for the Major League Rugby seasons from 2024 through 2026. Cross will take over from former Head Coach Josh Syms, who led the team to its first MLR playoff appearance and win in 2023. Cross, a Scottish national with a notable background as both a coach and player, has recently worked as a Defense Coach for the Dragons in the United Rugby Championship. He has experience coaching at both professional and international levels, and played for the Premiership club Wasps and Edinburgh Rugby. Cross, also a father of two, is excited about the opportunity to contribute to Old Glory DC’s success and to relocate his family to the Greater Washington area.
