Outdoor Dining Experience Returns to Downtown Leesburg This May

Leesburg, VA – Residents and visitors to Leesburg can look forward to the return of the extended sidewalk dining program starting May 3, 2024. This popular initiative transforms South King Street from Market to Loudoun streets into a vibrant dining area every Friday evening, enhancing the downtown experience.

The program, which will run through October 4, allows for an exclusive outdoor dining setup on South King Street, offering a unique atmosphere for diners. From 5 to 9 p.m., the street will be closed to vehicular traffic, starting 30 minutes prior to dining hours and reopening by 9:30 p.m. To accommodate the needs of the restaurants and their customers, designated on-street parking for food delivery and pickup will be available on East and West Market Street near the King Street intersection.

While the focus is on dining, there will be no live performances or other forms of outdoor entertainment. However, patrons are encouraged to explore and support the local shops in downtown Leesburg while waiting for their meals. It’s important for diners to note that the sidewalk dining will be paused on May 24, July 5, August 9, August 30, and September 27, and may be canceled due to inclement weather conditions.
