Police Apprehend Bank Robbery Suspect After Foot Chase Near Leesburg Outlets

Leesburg, VA – A Leesburg man is now in custody after being arrested for robbing the Truist Bank on Edwards Ferry Road NE earlier today. Joshua M. Boyce, 25, was apprehended by the Leesburg Police Department following a brief foot chase near the Leesburg Premium Outlets.

Around 11:42 a.m., officers responded to a report of a robbery in progress at Truist Bank, located at 1007 Edwards Ferry Road NE. According to police, Boyce fled the scene but was quickly spotted near the mall at 241 Fort Evans Road NE. When officers tried to approach him, Boyce attempted to escape on foot, but officers caught up with him shortly after.

Boyce has been charged with robbery and wearing a mask during the crime. He was transported to the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center and is currently awaiting a bond hearing.
