Leesburg, VA (September 26, 2023) – Contract Archivist and former Library Reference Associate Gabrielle Sanchez will teach “Preservation of Home Archives” on Thursday, October 5, beginning at 10 a.m.
Sanchez will introduce participants to the basics of preservation and discuss the best ways to house and protect personal archives. Topics will include proper ways to handle letters, books, photographs, and other media as well as common conservation needs, threats to paper and electronic media, and the dangers of non-archival storage products.
