Quick Response Contained Fire at Dodona Manor

Loudoun County Fire and Rescue (LCFR) crews responded promptly to a reported structure fire at Dodona Manor, located in the 200 block of Edwards Ferry Road NE. Upon arrival, firefighters encountered smoke and flames emanating from the historic building’s front porch.

Thanks to the swift actions of the fire crews, the blaze was quickly extinguished, limiting the damage to a small section of the porch cover. No civilian injuries were reported, though two firefighters sustained minor injuries during the operation.

The Fire Marshal’s Office (FMO) is currently on scene, conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the fire.

Dodona Manor, a site of significant historical value, was once home to General George C. Marshall. The community expressed gratitude for the professionalism and skill demonstrated by the firefighters in protecting this treasured landmark.
