Robbery on W&OD Trail Under Investigation by Leesburg Police

The Leesburg Police Department is currently investigating a robbery that took place on the evening of March 6, 2024, along the Washington & Old Dominion (W&OD) Trail near East Market Street (Route 7). According to reports, at approximately 9:35 p.m., a cyclist was approached by five individuals, described as Hispanic males, who forcibly removed him from his bicycle, assaulted him, and stole his possessions.

The attackers were mostly dressed in black, with one individual wearing some white clothing, a detail that might aid in their identification. The victim sustained minor injuries from the encounter.
