Leesburg, VA (July 27, 2023) – The runway at Leesburg Executive Airport will be closed nightly from Monday, July 31 through Thursday, August 3. Each night the closure will occur from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
During the closures, survey work will be conducted as part of the Airport Runway Pavement Rehabilitation project to identify the current condition of runway pavement. The airport’s runway was last rehabilitated in 2005 and is scheduled to receive a new surface, grooving, and markings in 2026.
Additional nighttime closures for this work may be needed, and advance notice will be provided.
Pilots are notified of runway closures via the FAA’s Notice to Air Missions site.
