Stolen Landscaping Equipment Recovered, Leesburg Man Charged

Leesburg, VA (June 10, 2024) – The Leesburg Police Department has charged a Leesburg man in connection with a commercial burglary that occurred in the early hours of April 1, 2024.

At around 1:00 a.m. on April 1, representatives from a landscaping business on Cardinal Park Drive SE reported the theft of commercial landscaping equipment. Following a thorough investigation, officers recovered the stolen equipment at a property on Pon Farr Court in Leesburg.

Kelvin Lainez-Cardenas, 23, of Leesburg, has been arrested and charged with burglary and grand larceny. He was transported to the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center and released on a $3,000 bond.
