Leesburg, VA – A swift response from Leesburg Police led to the arrest of three individuals involved in an organized retail theft spree targeting local stores. The suspects, all from Suffolk, Virginia, were apprehended on January 15, 2025, after stealing merchandise from two Leesburg businesses.
Officers were first called to the Polo Ralph Lauren store on Fort Evans Road NE at 7:48 p.m., where three individuals were reported stealing merchandise. While investigating, police received a second call from Dick’s Sporting Goods nearby, where the same suspects were seen concealing items.
The suspects were caught at the Dick’s Sporting Goods store and taken into custody.
Over $8,000 of stolen merchandise was recovered from their vehicle, and authorities believe the trio traveled from Suffolk to target Leesburg stores.

- Natesha L. Cheeks, 29
Charges: Multiple counts of felony larceny, possession of burglarious tools, conspiracy to commit larceny, and intent to sell stolen items.
Bond: Released on a $1,000 bond. - Tanajah S. Harrell, 26
Charges: Multiple felony larceny charges, possession of burglarious tools, conspiracy to commit larceny, identity theft, and providing false identity to law enforcement.
Bond: Held without bond. - Shakira V. Mizzelle, 23
Charges: Multiple felony larceny charges, possession of burglarious tools, and conspiracy to commit larceny.
Bond: Released on her own recognizance.
